| Platform 8 of Department of Design Products at the Royal College of Art What You see is What we got This installation is about looking at familiar objects in a fresh way, recognising them from a previous life and seeing something new in them. Its about enjoying shapes and their fluidity. The objects were made by vacuum forming, a process used in packaging. A plastic sheet is heated and pulled over the objects to create a mould. In this case, the mould is made up of a collection of discarded junk - grouped together in the same colour - transforming them to a new object and giving them a new life. |
