Around Town Critics’ Choice - V&A Village Fete

A host of designers take over the V&A’s Pirelli Garden this weekend for the third annual Village Fête. Expect a tombola, karaoke, Turkish roulette and dozens of other things to see and do.

Fete Attraction

For the third year running the Victoria and Albert Museum has invited international household, furniture and kitchenware designers into the Pirelli Garden for the V&A Village Fête. There’s loads of things to do and see this weekend - you can re-enact famous naval battles by remote control in the fountain; play the Big Brother target game; try out tabletop dog-racing; sing for popcorn or have a crack at a penalty shoot-out. Most of the stalls are run by graphic designers such as Bump, Fibre and Hyperkit, and offer suitably design-orientated prizes, with designers Ron Arad and Habitat’s Tom Dixon among the judges. See major museums.
